North wales, climbing in the clouds. part 1

Just got back from climbing in the clouds with my brother and new found freind.

Where do i start? well we arrived about 3pm at the camp site and what a view, mountains with clouds rolling of them. Right in front of me stood mount triffan of wich is one of my favourite to scramble in North wales. After setting up the tent and having some food it was time to bed down for the early start the next day………

Morning 5:30am……….. bags ready, kit ready! lets do it, we walked for about 20mins untill we arrived at the base of baby triffan of wich sits along side of daddy.

“right james are you ready, i shall go first and dave will be right behind you ( james my new freind and dave is my eldest brother) ” Oh and dont worry youll be fine!”  i could see james was nervous as this was his first expereince of mountains and any form of free climbing. Baby triffan stands about 150ft of sheer rock face with loads of different routes to take, the route we took was not too hard but challenging enough to get the heart and the adrenalin pumping.

I started the climb, the only tricky bit was the first 20ft of wich there is not much to get a good foot hold on….. “argh phew” thats that bit done the rest is like climbing a rocky ladder! ” c’mon james go for it its easy cough cough lol ;-)”. Here hes comes trying to show no fear with freezing glances and seemless pauses. ” yeh well done your there! its all down hill from now on lol ;-)”…………………………………………..part 2 coming soon ;-)x
